Dear Families and Students,

Spring school day testing is next Tuesday, April 15, 2025. No registration or payment is necessary.  Every student in grades 9-11 is registered to test, and there is no school for seniors. EHS will run a special schedule during the week. The schedule is available HERE. Parents do not need to call the attendance line. All seniors and students who opt not to participate do not attend if they are not scheduled to test. There will be no classes held on test day.  

As part of the College Board resources, students can opt in to Score Reporting and the BigFuture School Mobile App. This service will provide them with access to their test scores on the app. Additionally, students can opt into Connections. This program connects them to non-profit colleges, scholarship organizations, and non-profit organizations.

On Test Day

1. Students must be in their testing rooms by 8:30 am.  Room assignments will be posted in the school one day prior outside the main office and in their Class of… Google Classrooms.  
2. Students may leave school when they finish testing.  Students who ride the bus are supervised in the library until the end of the school day at 3:45 p.m. Buses run on their regular schedule. 
3. Students must bring a fully charged, school-issued Chromebook and their charger.  
4. No cell phones or other electronics are allowed in the test room.  
5. Lunch will be served from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  
6. Make-up testing will be held April 23-24, 2024, during the school day.

What to Bring

There are only a few things you need to bring on test day and many things you'll be better off leaving at home. Prepare to bring the right things with this list:

• Your fully charged Jeffco-provided Chromebook.
• Pencils or pens for scratch work.
• An acceptable calculator for use on the Math section of the test (an embedded graphing calculator will be available within Bluebook).

You may bring the following items to the test center:

• A charging cable or portable charger.
• A drink or snacks (for your break)

Prohibited materials include mobile phones, smartwatches, fitness trackers or wearable devices, Bluetooth devices (earbuds/headphones), cameras, highlighters, books, papers of any kind, earplugs, billed caps, and wearing hoods while testing.

Testing follows the College Board set schedule. The following AP exam information applies to all AP exams. Please read carefully.

Sign Up

• Students enroll in their AP Classrooms with their teachers.  This is the platform that they use to indicate their decision to take the exam. Fall decision deadline: October 4; Spring decision deadline: March 14
  • Students who do not indicate their decision by the deadline will automatically be changed to indicate they are NOT taking the exam.  Any change requests will incur a $40 late fee for changes.
  • For late registrants, an additional $40 is added to each $99 exam fee

• Students will not be admitted to the exam after check-in concludes.

Check-in details

• Check-in location: Testing rooms are posted in the Class of ... Google Classroom by student ID number. 
• Bring a student ID or driver’s license (students may not be admitted without an ID).
• Bring two No. 2 wood pencils (no mechanical pencils) and two blue or black pens.
• Bring an approved calculator (if applicable).

Test details

•  Cell phones, smartwatches and other digital devices are not permitted. Electronic communication devices should remain outside the testing room and not be accessed until all testing is complete.
•  AP scores will be available in early July on APScore.org. 
•  Student attendance will be marked excused during their exams. 
•  Students taking morning exams will be excused from class during missed periods as well as time for lunch afterward.
• Students taking afternoon exams will be excused so they may have lunch before their testing as well as their afternoon classes.

Please note that only students who opted to test will attend school on test day. Parents do not need to call the attendance line.

Before test day

All fees for this optional test must be paid by Sept. 25, 2024, via the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus. Testing room assignments will be posted the day prior to testing in student's Class of... Google Classroom.

On test day

Arrival

• All students will enter and exit through the main entrance.
• All students must be in their testing room by 8:30 a.m.

Testing

• Students must bring their student ID and their fully charged school-issued Chromebooks for the digital exam.
• No baseball caps or other brimmed hats may be worn.  
• Students may not wear their hoodies on their heads during the test session.
• No cellphones or smartwatches in testing rooms! These items may lead to test score invalidation. If a student has a cellphone or smartwatch, the test proctor will collect and store the device until the conclusion of the test. 
• Students will finish around 11 a.m. (Students with accommodations will finish at various times.)

Departure

• Lunch will be available in the cafeteria at 11:30 a.m.
• Students may leave school when they finish testing. Students may wait for their transportation in the library or outside the main entrance so as not to disturb students still testing.
• Students who ride the bus are supervised in the library until the end of the school day at 3:45 p.m.
