EHS students, get involved by volunteering – it’s ego-friendly!
You can be recognized at EHS for your volunteer work and earn a letter in community service. Use the application form to have volunteer supervisors sign off on your work. Looking for an organization where you can volunteer? There are lots of ideas listed below.
Volunteer Opportunities
Life Changer Trips – Life Changer Trips is dedicated to providing life-changing experiences to high school students, which change the lives of underserved communities through volunteering.
Jefferson County Public Library Teen Advisory Board – The Evergreen Library’s Teen Advisory Board meets on the last Thursday of every month from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The board helps plan library programs, make book displays, choose books for the library, and other volunteer opportunities. Apply now.
INSPIRE Special Needs Program – Evergreen Parks and Rec’s special needs program needs volunteers to help with swimming, bowling and special events throughout the year. Contact Maren Schreiber, special population coordinator, at mschreiber@eprd.co or 720-880-1219 or 303-912-7382.
Jeffco Schools Costume Connection – The shared costume resource for Jeffco Schools has lots of work to do and is looking for students (and adult) volunteers willing to sort through costumes, look for stains, wear, etc. Students in need of service hours or who love to work with costumes can sign up.

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado – Need more volunteer hours? Founded in 1984, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is the state's oldest outdoor stewardship nonprofit organization. Its mission is to motivate and enable people to become active stewards of Colorado's natural resources. Volunteer projects take place in every corner of Colorado. Access project registration.

Cougars Care Volunteer Opportunities
- Community Service Letter – due May 1, 2025
- Do you serve in your community, state and world? You can be recognized at EHS for your volunteer work and earn a varsity letter in community service. Students counseling at Outdoor Lab can earn up to 78 hours. Total hours required are 115 hours since the first day of the previous summer. Use the application form to have volunteer supervisors sign off on your work as you go.
